Georgie Pinn- my profile is on opposite page because the 100 word limiter here is not working
Intro: Georgie Pinn has been working for over 2 decades as a multimedia artist/director of interactive cultural activations in public space and education. Her digital palette includes narrative based film, live generative animation, projection mapping, interactive installation, special effects for theatre/dance/circus and sound design. She uses immersive motion capture technology and documentary storytelling to explore the notion of shared identity. Georgie’s creative practice is underpinned by her long-term research into empathy as a creative force for making connection across cultural, age and gender divides. Her projects have been presented globally in prestigious sites such as the Barbican, London, Ars Electronica(Austria & Berlin), Sheffield Doc Fest(UK), ISEA, (Africa) and PAUSE and PITCH in Australia. In 2018 she won an honorary mention at Ars Electronica for the project ECHO that went on to a prize winner’s exhibition in Berlin. She is also regularly commissioned to design and facilitate education programs that focus on harnessing empathy through interactive animation.
