Immersive
Generating Art
interactive
The latest creative development project by Georgie Pinn has just been released. Again she uses the immersive nature of interactive animation and sound to harness empathy and make way for learning and new forms of expression for both the artist and the audience.
The work was developed during an Art residency produced by Urban Screens with the intention to democratise public screens. She uses the generative, data driven software Touchdesigner, connected to Urban Screen's Interact-in.Place platform as a tool for exploring these concepts.
The workshop outcome was to enable artists of all mediums to transform their work into an animated format that can be manipulated in real-time by the audience in public spaces, lifting the work off the canvass into a screen-based event context. It also aims to increase and diversify audience participation in the creative sphere.
