School of Transmedia is configuring the interdisciplinary cluster. School of Transmedia, GAFA was founded in 2018. Expanded from the department of experimental art (founded in 2011), the School consists of four secondary disciplines of GAFA, namely: experimental art, photography, stage art, films and television. To be the trend leader and to take full advantage of the idea of transmedia, the School is required to answer the question concerning its current development phase: How to unlock the creativity from the limits of each traditional discipline, configure the emerging interdisciplinary cluster, and engender various cutting-edge domains and an integrated effect? We are going to demonstrate the current thinking and practice of the School of Transmedia through a pathbreaking education exhibition. This exhibition is a systematic review and comprehensive presentation of the nearly nine years teaching activities from the initiation of the department of experimental art to the establishment of the School of Transmedia. It includes teaching keywords (Hall No.1 and 2), video images (Hall No.3), excellent works of students (Hall No.4). In collaboration with the exhibition, a conference on art educations will also be held simultaneously to discuss pertinent issues of contemporary art education.
