ENG: Moroz (Frost) is a video mapping projection on a building facade that invites the audience into the contemplative world of the Russian winter. The story begins in the realm of Moroz — a powerful, commanding force who turns everything to ice. The façade becomes a frozen landscape, where sharp light and intricate frost patterns reveal the strength, silence, and grandeur of winter. In this first act, cold becomes a form of beauty, and stillness turns into a moment of reflection.
Gradually, the icy world begins to soften. Light grows warmer, shadows fade, and the frosty textures start to shimmer with gentle radiance. This transformation unveils the dual nature of winter — both harsh and tender, both frozen and full of light — evoking a quiet sense of wonder and renewal.
In the finale, the Snow Maiden (Snegurochka) appears — luminous and serene — bringing warmth, joy, and a touch of magic. Through the meeting of light and frost, Moroz (Frost) reflects the poetic spirit of the Russian winter and the festival’s theme, “Art makes life better,” transforming the building itself into a living canvas of light, sound, and emotion.
