Forest is an interactive audio-visual installation that combines sound, video projection, and spatial design through real-time technologies and sensor-based control. The installation creates an adaptive environment that responds to the presence and movement of visitors, transforming them from observers into active participants. At its core, a Kinect camera detects human presence when someone enters its range. Through body and hand movements, visitors can interact with the audio-visual environment and experiment with its transformations.
Here, technology is not just a tool but an active participant in the experience. The scenography—composed of transparent screens, a projector, and speakers—creates a hybrid space where the boundaries between real and virtual, between body and media, begin to blur. Forest offers both a laboratory for digital self-observation and a shared social experience. It exists between art and experiment—eschewing narrative in favor of structured openness, welcoming both individual and collective presence. By avoiding explicit instructions or storyline, the project emphasizes personal perception as the driving force of the encounter. This neutrality allows the installation to function as a platform for meeting between human presence and technological environment, where Otherness is experienced not as a threat but as a possibility for new forms of connection.
