Intro： Veronika Angelova Tabakova is a multidisciplinary sound artist whose primary goal is to explore the world of sound and music as much as possible. She has experience as a pianist, sound engineer, sound designer, producer, and composer. In the last 3 years, Veronika started exploring digital media and its influence on sound and music. In 2018 she directed and produced the interactive sound theatre “Forest Labyrinth” for which she created 18 floor-sensors. Afterward, they were upgraded for Combino Project’s performance “Forest sound” which took place in the woods near Kuklen village. Along with that, she created the sound environment of the interactive installation "Soult" which was presented at 3 festivals in the fall of 2019. She is a co-founder of the creative team called "DigiPhysics" (2020) which works in the field of performing arts. Currently, Veronika is working on a variety of projects related to composing, sound designing, audio-visuals, dancing, performing, etc. As a sound engineer, Veronika specializes in recording, editing, mixing, and mastering a variety of music genres – from classical and jazz to pop and contemporary. In September 2012, she enrolled in the Theory, Composition, and Conducting Faculty at National Music Academy “Pancho Vladigerov” in Sofia, specializing in “Sound Engineering”. In September 2016, Veronika was granted a scholarship for a full-time MMus course in Music Technology at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. She graduated with Distinction and gained her Master's degree in July 2018. During her study, she has been awarded the SSL Prize for Recording, Editing, and Mixing (2017) and the Audient Prize for Creativity in Music Technology (2018). In May 2018 she became an Avid Certified User. Veronika has been working as a live sound engineer in the Bulgarian National Radio (2016), Drama Theatre Plovdiv (2019), and Sofia Opera and Ballet (2020-2022).
