Creation Description:
新箱体 (New Box) continues the imagery of the ancient tower, where the tower stands like a towering, living entity, silently witnessing our perpetual connection to the land that has never abandoned us. As a form of architecture, the multi-tiered pagoda represents a journey through the labyrinth of time, where each layer is like a step toward finding an elusive exit. Yet, the exit always remains hidden, much like Borges’ infinite library—each page is both the future and the past.

From manor to eaves tower, from natural landscapes to pavilions and buildings, the work encompasses the inclusivity and transformation of landscapes, while also reflecting a deep awareness of the passage of time. The tower’s upward expansion evokes the intersection between nature and humanity throughout history. It symbolizes the infinite intertwining of time and space, and the eternal dialogue between humanity and nature. Within the confines of this structure, the pursuit of eternity and the endless meaning of existence is found—much as Borges wrote, "What we understand as time is actually an endlessly repeating enigma, both a beginning and an end."

The piece 新箱体 (New Box) is a meditation on the intersection of past and future, the finite and the infinite, and the eternal search for meaning in the ever-unfolding layers of time.
