Marisfrolg 30 th anniversary "ART INTO LIFE" Original

For its thirtieth anniversary, Chinese fashion brand Marysfrolg and the APAX Group commissioned Yann Nguema to create an immersive projection for the evening's opening and the new collection's runway show. The event also inaugurated the public opening of the brand's headquarters, designed by New Zealand architecture firm van Brandenburg.
Highly inspired by the natural elements, the building is an incredible place of timeless elegance and beauty. The projection took place in one of the large rooms on the vaulted ceiling and a huge vertical screen. Entrusted to Creative Technology, the technical set-up included 18 video projectors.
The 3-minute opening exploits natural elements and patterns drawn by a luminous lichen in perpetual motion. Starting from a single point, the organic forms gradually invade the space to compose increasingly rich and complex tableaux. They reflect the brand's rise over the past 30 years, while also resonating with the very strong aesthetic of architecture.
