Analogous to the camera techniques of film culture, custom-built machines are used to create a kinetic light environment. Selected exhibits of the archive of the Museum der Kulturen Basel and everyday objects are melt together and come to life by kinetic alternators in realtime. Detached from their historical information and classification, the exhibits are introduced to a new, fictional context, as part of a contemporary piece of art. Releasing new layers of information and relation through recontextualisation.
