EAU + Miao Jing | 隔江山色·重链 Original

“Mountains are famous for living saints; Waters gains miraculous for residing dragons. ”

Chongqing, (a.k.a. 山城Mountain City) is famous for its history as a heavy industrial city built on mountains and by ride of the Long River. The artist hopes to create the experience of "going down the mountain - crossing the bridge - going through a hole - going up the mountain" through the immersive audiovisuals.

In this creation of 【Hills Beyond A River · Relink】, the artist mixed his experience and thinking of living in Shanghai since 2017, attempting to find connections between two cities geographically and conceptually. When Miao Jing ran into Hong Tang / Red Soup and Bai Tang / White Soup from EAU’s music album “Hotpot”. The two soundtracks bring a sense of “nostalgia” to him, where a collaboration between Miao Jing and EAU is emerging.

EAU (Wang Yi) is a musician and composer based in Shanghai. His music is subtle and delicate, in terms of the structures and narratives. EAU’s music is like a virtual camera, which depicts images and leads an acoustic experience.
