FORWARD – Gare Viger

FORWARD is an installation of tunnels that generate infinite ways to get to a distant point on the horizon.
This project is about the future becoming the present, and disappearing.

In this occasion we made two tunnels facing each other. We painted the black frame on the wall and projection-mapped the tunnel and the small glows to create the effect of it being a physical object floating. The wall is round so we played with perspective to make sure the frame looked square.

The content is fully generative, random and infinite. Every decision the software takes has a certain probability, so is never the same. The sound is triggered at the same time as the visuals and each configuration has its own ambience.
