An interactive virtual image of Cantonese opera theme

Background: in today's rapidly changing society and in the context of strengthening the construction of cultural self-confidence, Cantonese Opera is a beautiful stroke written in the history of China's cultural prosperity. Although Cantonese opera has been recognized by many in the international community, the aging problem of domestic Cantonese Opera audiences has become increasingly prominent. The inheritance and development of Cantonese opera has become an issue in front of people and must be considered, and it is also a major mission for our young people to revive Cantonese opera culture. Taking this as the topic, we selected litchi song, a Cantonese opera work, and combined with the characteristics of digital media, used a new way of expression to create a second time.

Design concept: Ode to litchi is a distinctive and popular Cantonese melody. The theme of the repertoire is litchi, a characteristic of Lingnan. The shape of litchi is a red quilt, the flesh is light gauze and thin brocade, and the teeth and cheeks are fragrant. We extract the characteristics of litchi, which symbolizes the characteristic of Lingnan. Litchi red, the roots of heart to heart in all corners of the country, are united like hard nuts, fresh and ethereal fragrance. For these images, It can be either clear or abstract, which will become the main form of constructing our visual elements. Or, what kind of "chemical reaction" will happen when the vague smell of Litchi in everyone's heart is made into an abstract pattern and acts on the litchi ontology. We have made many attempts to extract, deconstruct and reconstruct the elements of litchi ontology, A simple litchi can burst out in a variety of unique forms of expression. We use this property to explore its unique interest. Combined with the joystick and touch of the game console, we can deform and reconstruct the shape of the litchi. Between multiple different images, the audience can also achieve different effects through a variety of combinations and controls of the handle to construct the litchi in their mind!
