What is a city? What moves, scares, delights or excites an entire city? What do the emotions of the citizens look like? How can we describe the times we live in? What connects different people and generations? And how can the whole thing be visualized so that the person who comes to the new city or who has lived here for a long time, or who will probably live here in 1000 years, has an ob-jective idea of the city or can leave her (his) own mark on history?
Art duo Andrey and Juliana Vrady are working on a new interactive project.
This time cities will be represented as an immersive digital cube (message to the future). For this purpose, various data and facts about the city and their inhabitants will be collected and visualized through the artists computational code.
THE CUBE CONSISTS OF 4 SIDES:
Emotion-Blender
Every guest can be connected to a A.I.-Mood-Converter and leave their emotions to create a unique artwork, based on the own sentiments (the emotions are measured with facial expression recognition software and visualized in real time).
And then look, how do emotions of people in Fuzhou look like.
Big-Data-Blender
Data and facts from the history and culture of Fuzhou.
Future-Blender
A.I.-Villages, Time Macheens or Sustainable Food? How do people imagine the future of Fuzhou?
DNA-Blender
Genetic data of the population
(in collaboration with Leipzig University).
There will be a scale from 0 to 100 percent for all characteristics and they will be tracked via an artificial intelligence that splits a picture into individual color frag-ments in real time and presents it as an artwork of light, patterns and colors.
A game between psyche, aesthetics and Artificial Intelligence.
The project will be presented as an immersive interactive performance with AR-Elements.
The artwork shows the dialogue between people and technology.
How technology perceives human beings, the countries where they live and how through the lens of the artists computational code the “here and now” might look as art.
