Intro: Ziv Ze’ev Cohen is a visual artist with an emphasis on technology. His works challenge the senses of both human and machine alike. Often speculating on the possible future, in his practice, he constantly reflecting on the impact machines have on our society today. Born in Israel and based in Chicago, Cohen holds an MFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in Art and Technology Studies where he works as a faculty member. Cohen’s works have been exhibited worldwide, recently was shown at Ars Electronica festival in Austria.As an educator, his mission is leading students to adjust themselves to the fast pace of technology. Inspired by the maker movement and the 4th industrial revolution Cohen believes the society hive brain is our future tool. By introducing the basic skills of digital and analog fabrication, electronics, coding, and 3D model software, he is pushing forward to extend the toolsets of young minds. Xinyi Li is an interdisciplinary artist based in China. Her works range between installation, sculpture, video, and print. In her research, she is using scientific phenomena's to advocate for a different approach to our mundane reality. By using a combination of materials and techniques she raises questions about the human individual point of view and the clarity of our senses. Li has earned her bachelor’s degree from the Inter-media department at China Academy of Art, and Master of Fine Arts in Art and Technology Studies at The School of Art Institute of Chicago. She was awarded the Gold-award of 2015 China Academy of Art Graduation Show, SAIC’s most prestigious scholarship——“New Artist Society Scholarship”. She also took part at the “New artists support program of China Academy of Art”. Today, she is a faculty member at The Communication University of Zhejiang.
