Intro: Yu Wang is a director and AIGC visual creator, currently a Ph.D. candidate at the School of Journalism and Communication, Tsinghua University. She holds an M.A. in Television Production from Boston University and a B.A. in Media Studies from the University of California, Berkeley. With professional experience as a TVC producer and creative planner, she has worked across narrative short films, micro-dramas, documentaries, commercial productions, and AIGC audiovisual projects. Her AIGC audiovisual work Colorful Rhythms of Guizhou won First Prize in the AIGC Audiovisual Content Creation Track of the Guikesong × TapNow AI Cultural Tourism Residency Program. Her AIGC short film Disconnected was officially selected by the 2026 ICJ International Film Festival and the AI & VR Short Film section of the Miami Art-Tech Summit. Her AI + live-action micro-drama The Last Tailor won Second Prize at the 2025 Tongxiang Micro Drama Competition, while her documentary short The Rice-Paved Life received an Outstanding Documentary Work Award from the China University Film and Television Association and has been selected for multiple film festivals. Her creative and academic work focuses on cross-cultural storytelling, AIGC filmmaking, micro-dramas, and the transformation of audiovisual production through artificial intelligence, with particular interest in how generative AI is reshaping script development, visual design, image generation, sound creation, and post-production, as well as the intersection of technological innovation, cinematic language, cultural expression, and contemporary social issues.
