Intro： Even Zhang (b.1997) is a Chinese artist and photographer based in Beijing and London. She has been awarded MA in Media, Communication, and International Journalism from the University of Glasgow in 2020 and is currently studying MA in Photography at the Royal College of Art. Even’s works mainly involve the form of photography and video, with an emphasis on the essential role of sound. She tends to extract phenomena from mass media and internet materials, and put them into images in the form of collages, to reflect and criticize contemporary social issues under the daily representations as well as broaden the boundaries of photography and video. Even’s main areas of concern are the homogenization of individuals in the social flood, feminism and reflections on the information and consumer era. Her works have been exhibited in various cities including Beijing, Shanghai, New York, Florence, and Leipzig.
