Intro: Born in Porto in 1981, Ivo Reis, a digital artist, presents Animatek as a performance and creative thinking project. He graduated in Cinema and Audiovisual at ESAP in 2005, where he teaches in the discipline of Theory and Practice of Assembly. His diverse work includes genres such as sensory, experimental, documentary, video-mapping, fiction and audiovisual performance cinema. His travels through the Orient are inspired by his artistic identity, in which his fascination with light, transcultural patterns, and organic space is represented. The recreation of immersive imagery comes from lived experiences with different cultural and geographic connections, in a transdisciplinary and intercultural field of vision. It is in this field that your ideas take on expression, form and message. They are assumed as tools for transcultural interpretation and extension, the result of ethnographic research with the dynamics of a digital laboratory.
