Qi-ping Original

Qi.ping is an interactive installation that invites users to dare to experience
pedagogical and individual performative, navigating an audiovisual metaphor/mirror
for the energetic structures of the human body, according to the Eastern view. inspired by
Traditional Chinese medicine concepts such as Qi (life force of life), Qi control
by conscious attention (Yi) and the Dan Tien (energy centers of the body), we designed
a complex interaction using real-time user information such as speed,
symmetry and shape that are captured by Kinect to control and modulate visual elements
and audible sounds for an innovative reactive experience.
