NoctSquare was founded in 2018. Five people from different fields—we are night animals, we love midnight scenes, we love to work at midnight, and our works are usually connected to midnight. We combined the root noct- (night) with square (the square that gathered our vocal and thought collisions) to create the word NoctSquare. We are committed to exploring the possibility of the expression of conceptual art in new media art, looking for the context of narrative in abstraction, and deconstructing and recombining traditional art media and new art media to present a different look from traditional new media art. Group members include Li Hao, Li Shuoyuzhou, Wang Moshi, Xie Shicong, Zhao Qian.
