Erosion Tumblers Original

During the 2019 residency at DordtYart, a performative installation was developed around the process of erosion. Four tumblers are built from old truck tires and slow-running electric motors. Inside the tires are stones and water that wear down a number of souvenirs until almost nothing is left of them. The process starts with five identical souvenirs for each tumbler. The recognisable objects are the souvenirs that have not been eroded at all, while the smallest and most formless objects are those exposed longest to the erosion process. This work is still under development.
