Information permeates all aspects of our lives. People may be surrounded by different landscape and architecture, but a constant flow of abstract information via screens, paper or air has the power to overwhelm them with the symbols of a distant culture, thus arousing their emotions and cutting through noises. This is what inspired me as a curator and live visual artist when I dealt with my first project of my own visual language in 2015 involving evocative images, installations and videos that are more compelling than words.
Briefly, A.L.A/D includes a 2D printed book, a 3D printed bookcase and an audio-visual live performance. I believe that buildings show us where people live as well as what they value. To explore the notion of them, I have extracted fragmented symbols from the outlines of landscape and architecture which lead to a unique grid system.
