齿轮天气钟 Weather Clock (2018) Original

天气钟能通过Wifi读取网络服务商开放的天气数据。齿轮第一圈快速旋转是用来展示不同颜色的灯光对应不同天气，而第二圈时齿轮指针则缓慢旋转直到指向代表当前天气状况的图标。只需插一个普通家电插座就能工作。这个作品是基于可放在设计商店或画廊商店的极客风创意商品的出发点进行设计的，此版本可视为完整的可工作的原型设计，之后需进一步完善版本以提升耐久度、稳定性、精确性和用户友好度，并降低成本。

The clock can report the real time weather data based on the online weather data from OpenWeatherMap API via Wifi. The first round of spinning is to demonstrate that different color lights correspond with different weather statuses. For the second round, gears spin to point to the current weather status. One supply powers the whole setup. This work was designed as a creative geek style product which can be sold in design store or gallery store. This version can be regarded as a functional prototype. For the following iterations, it will improve the durability, stability, accuracy and user friendliness, and lower down the cost of the materials.
