History, cities, people, and nature do not exist as separate entities, rather they continuously move, flow, and shape one another. Cities emerge from the landscapes and natural resources that sustain them, while nature continues to permeate urban structures, even as it is increasingly obscured by development and transformation.
People move through these spaces every day for work, travel, and leisure. The journey from the city into nature is therefore not merely an escape from urban life, but a return to an enduring relationship between humans and the landscape, one that continues to exist beneath the rhythms of contemporary life.
This work considers the movement of people, rivers, cities, and nature as part of a single, interconnected process. Historical traces remain embedded beneath the flow of the present, while every journey and every transformation leaves new marks upon the landscape, continuously reshaping the relationship between memory, place, and time.
