The creative inspiration comes from Chengdu's city flower, the hibiscus, which naturally changes colors three times a day. Using the double-petal hibiscus as the visual prototype, digital art is created with particle fluid techniques. The video follows the blooming of the hibiscus: in the morning it's pure white, by noon it starts to show hints of pink, and by sunset it's a deep, vibrant red.Relying on the transition logic of hibiscus particles drifting and dissolving, it links together Chengdu's iconic buildings from different historical periods in sequence: Dujiangyan Yulei Pavilion, Qingyang Palace, Global Center, Twin Towers of Financial City, Dong'an Pavilion, and so on. The work uses the day-and-night color changes of hibiscus flowers to metaphorically represent Chengdu's millennia of growth and transformation, blending the aesthetics of natural phenology with the narrative of urban development to create an immersive contemporary digital visual experience.
