A short stop-motion animation film created entirely with sand by Olga Kryzhanovska, co-founder of the multimedia art duo Lysteater.

Heavily inspired by traditional Chinese ink wash painting (Shanshui), the artist seeks to breathe life and magic into static brushstrokes, transforming them into a living, moving landscape. Accompanied by the raw, immersive sounds of nature, the piece guides the audience into a deeply meditative state of environmental contemplation. By blending the organic, tactile texture of sand with the fluid aesthetics of ink, the project explores the harmony between human touch, nature, and stillness.
