Throughout our lives, we are constantly faced with choices between waiting and moving on. Out of habit, most people tend to believe that waiting is the better option — it stands for self-discipline and the ability to resist instant desires, while choosing not to wait is seen as the opposite. Yet sometimes, deciding not to wait takes far more wisdom and courage.
Told from a first-person perspective, this work starts with a childhood dilemma: should you eat your favorite food first or save it for later? Drawing on memories of similar choices across different stages of life, it progresses from childlike simplicity to in-depth reflection on how we ought to choose when faced with various people and situations.
Featuring a cute, childlike visual style and light, cheerful background music, the piece delivers a warm, healing vibe while provoking thoughtful contemplation.
