Art Tea Bar · Interactive Installation Introduction (Official English Version)
Art Tea Bar is an immersive interactive installation that takes “Eastern tea culture × digital art” as its core narrative. Structured around the five senses—sight, sound, taste, smell, and touch—the work translates the traditional aesthetics of tea into perceptible and triggerable digital experiences, allowing audiences to rediscover the act of tea appreciation through a multi-sensory flow.
Visually, the installation draws inspiration from the poetic imagery of “moonlight shattering into a thousand petal-like snowflakes upon peach branches” and “rippling waves doubling the shadows of spring blossoms.” Tea cups, petals, water ripples, and energetic fields continuously grow, disperse, and dissolve through generative algorithms, forming an ever-evolving digital ecosystem.
In sound, ambient layers and interactive audio respond dynamically to the audience’s movements, creating a space where “qi” becomes audible.
Through real-time sensing, every gesture of moving a teacup, raising it, or toasting is amplified into a “brushstroke” that reshapes the visual composition, allowing the body and the vessel to co-author the imagery.
Within this process, the audience is no longer a passive observer but an active co-creator.
Each interaction alters the flow of light;
each moment of stillness generates new energetic textures;
the warmth, breath, and vitality of tea are reinterpreted in the digital realm as a form of perceptible motion.
Art Tea Bar seeks to establish a new connection between technology and culture:
inviting viewers to “taste tea” through digital light,
and to experience the gentle strength of Eastern aesthetics through interaction.
Traditional tea imagery gains new life through technological intervention, becoming a contemporary experience that transcends time and medium.
