In a future school driven by technology for learning, Xiao Yuan, a gifted teenager, feels an unprecedented sense of loneliness—knowledge is within easy reach, yet his emotions have nowhere to settle. That is until he discovers the mysterious AI life assistants of the Mr. Qi family in a dusty desk drawer.

When Qi Duoduo's quick wit captures creative inspiration for him, when Qi Sisi's eagle-eyed precision helps him analyze molecular structures, and when Qi An'an's steadfast support safeguards every one of his experiments, Xiao Yuan finally understands: true learning is not about isolating oneself from the world with a screen, but about touching reality through technology. Following the guidance of the Qi family, Xiao Yuan works with Qi Chuangchuang to restore the scenes of the Mogao Grottoes using algorithms, and with Qi Lele to "listen" to the whispers of the forest through data; he collaborates with Sister Qi to overcome difficulties, and learns alongside Mr. Qi... On this "second desk" where the virtual and the real converge, he rediscovers the most precious warmth and heartbeat in the journey of learning.
