This project is based on the 1961 Chinese animated film classic "Da Nao Tian Gong" as the visual source point, and focuses on the creative practice of "digital reproduction of traditional images". The project introduces generative AI image technologies such as Stable Diffusion and ControlNet to perform style transfer and visual reconstruction on typical scenes in the original animation, generating new image content with high-quality original texture. On the basis of visual language updates, the work further constructs a "flashlight style" interactive mechanism: viewers can manipulate the device through real-time gestures to control the areas that can be "illuminated" in the picture, gradually revealing the original animation layers hidden under the new picture in the motion trajectory.
This creative path that integrates traditional handmade animation with modern AI painting technology allows users to actively participate in the rediscovery and reconstruction of "old scenes" in the context of digital media. Viewers not only gain an immersive visual experience during the interaction process, but are also stimulated to have emotional memories and aesthetic perceptions of classic cultural images, forming a dynamic experiential space between viewing and creation.
This project aims to respond to the possibility of revitalizing and extending traditional animation art in the digital media era, explore new visual narrative methods empowered by AI, and provide a medium path that is both technically experimental and culturally rich for the reinterpretation of classic images.
