Mutate / Evolve - Silver Award Shining Shanghai 2024 Original

Mutate / Evolve takes the Friendship Hall's architecture and transforms it into evolving organisms that move and break free of the building. Every character has in its design the DNA of the building. I tried to find interesting characters and distinctive movements while staying true to the spirit of the architecture and the confinements of projection mapping, not using the building as a screen, but letting it influence and enhance the design decisions and effects.
This project won the silver award at Shining Shanghai 2024.
