The emotions, thoughts, blood, bones, and genes between mother and daughter in Hengdan can all be codified into data. I continuously probe into the connections among them, ranging from macro to micro levels, from the invisible to the visible, seeking the traces of her within me. Through the exchange of conversations, bodily expressions, and other activities, we generate extensive datasets, thereby piecing together the missing care and understanding. Beginning with my personal perspective, I deconstruct my relationship with my mother, concentrating on intermingled data, orchestrating events outside of chronological time, establishing data profiles reflected through our familial ties, and scrutinizing the intricate and ultimate symbiotic relationship between mother and daughter from a private, individual viewpoint.
When language is stripped to its essence, the meticulous details of thoughts and bodies induce a profound sense of displacement in everyday life. Through years of introspective review of our shared emotions, we revive the long-forgotten intimacy.
