'To my dearest the great beauty' is a generative art piece created for the bereaved community as a sorrowful intervention. It also encapsulates the artist's longing for his father who passed away three years ago. In China, facing bereavement often entails the expectation to 'grieve in moderation', where people seem to emphasize resilience rather than pain. However, 'grieving in moderation' does not mean suppressing or transferring sorrow but rather burying it deep within one's heart. Sorrow, as an extension of 'love', should be accepted and expressed. This artwork attempts to explore images hidden beneath emotions through artistic intervention and seeks to transform sorrow intervention techniques into artistic expression.
