《仙儿》预告片 Original

"Chinese Immortals" is an interdisciplinary VR short film that combines photography and digital media. I have created a story based on Chinese legends and fantasy stories about a Chinese Immortals descending to earth to find a job. Each Chinese Immortal descending to earth needs to find a statue to live in, just like how each graduate needs to find a suitable position and destination after entering society. This work extensively utilizes photogrammetry techniques, taking a total of approximately 20000 photos. These photos were then algorithmically generated into 3D models and connected through certain narratives to form the main storyline of the short film. These statues and spaces reflect the visual appearance of traditional Chinese folk culture in different economic levels, regional cultures, and belief systems. There is also a dark line in this work - the bugs of the human world. The more people there are, the more complex the system becomes, and the more bugs there are. So I utilized the inherent flaws of photogrammetry technology and various visual elements of faulty art to depict the problems and bugs in the human world. The core of this work is to reflect the dilemma of modernity, the conflict and integration of traditional culture and modern civilization through the perspective of immortals.
