Fleeting Surfaces (Surfaces fuyantes in French) presents precisely digitized spaces that are rendered with a very shallow depth of field and a focus that moves continuously into the distance. This optical scanning highlights certain areas of coastlines, mountains and forests, while others disappear. This restricted visibility amplifies the dreamlike dimension of the work, while at the same time examining the phenomena of visual perception. The dense sound environment, spatialized on several loudspeakers, supports this scrambled panoramic vision of a natural world in transformation.
