Creative Description:
From the perspective of our professional discipline, inspired by the theory of biological imitation and Lu Xun's literary realism novel "Blessing", we introduce the theory of life imitation into the theory of artistic imitation for discussion. For example, genetic engineering and biological cloning are typical life imitation technologies, and their objectivity is unquestionable. However, biological imitation technology cannot be limited to the internal understanding of the field of biological science, literature, religion Philosophy and science also have a profound concern for life, and understanding this has modern significance for us to engage in interdisciplinary artistic creation. Therefore, we used images as a medium to create a virtual image around digital life.
The title of the work is "bud", which is derived from the translation of life germ in Lu Xun's short science fiction novel "The Art of Human Creation", that is, "human bud". In this vocabulary, it abstractly reflects the concept of cells in different biological species and also reflects the theory of the origin of modern life. Haecker's works in "Nature", "Science", "Anatomy and Embryology" The removal of limb bud marks from mammalian embryos during the tail bud stage in the image has become a source of inspiration for our visual design. The background music adopts avant-garde music design, with experimental synthetic sound effects and electronic texture as supplementary explanations for visual design and emotional transmission, interpreting our theme from another sensory perspective, triggering more experiences and fantasies. The bold combination of music and images conveys our views on "biological machinery" through imagery, but we do not want the outcome of this exploration to be unique. Inspiring every audience's thinking is the goal, and diversity is what we need more.
