A Touch of Memory - 当身体变成数字空间本身 Original

Introduction
The work is presented in a VR environment, where the scene models are composed using 3D scanning technology to represent the appearance of my "home" from my personal memory. Only the area around the hands will be visible in the space, and players will explore objects and space in the darkness through touch-based interactions with their hands. The piece explores the theme of memory while also investigating the relationship between the body and digital space.

Interaction concept
“The sense of touch represents the most direct and intimate channel of communication and a powerful means of connection between the self and the others.” The audience's hand models will be replaced by a dot of light, and only the environment around the player's hands will be visible. I hope that players can recreate the experience of exploring in the dark through the interactive movement of their hands in the space. Moreover, the space and scattered models in this project are all related to items that are deeply associated with the author's memories, and the act of touching them provides a direct experience of conversing with the author's memories.

Art concept
My memories are blurry to me, and in most cases, I have a stronger impression of a specific item in a certain event. That's why I scattered various items from my memories throughout the space at the beginning of the game.To prevent the audience from getting completely lost in the dark space, I added a very small amount of particle effects to guide the player.
