Digital Art
'The Spaces-In-Between' has launched at London’s impressive new landmark : Outernet.
Implemented by Pixel Artworks, the exhibition consists of three artworks: ‘Tessellations’ & ‘Transcendence’, which transport visitors to a digital natural world, and ‘A Step Beyond’; an interactive experience, where the public can sync their body movements on the largest, most advanced digital screen on the planet.
Composer Sarah Warne (Channel 4’s Humans & BBC’s Time) has created bespoke compositions which further envelop the viewer in a fully immersive experience.
‘The Spaces In-Between’ is designed to unite people in the intangible, in-between spaces. Colour, shape and sound create a harmonious blend that shifts with time. Embark on a journey that begins with the artist's vision and ends in a crystalline cathedral of light.
“I aim to uplift people by fully immersing them in pattern, light, colour and sound. Working in this space has given me the freedom to create this unique work at vast scale, for thousands to experience. The result is captivating.”
Rupert Newman
“Nothing brings us more joy than creating experiences that enable people to take a moment away from the constant hustle and bustle of their everyday lives. 'The Spaces In-Between' proves that breathtaking art can be accessible to everyone and experienced in the most unlikely spaces. It is an open invitation for anyone to explore a non-traditional art form in a non-traditional way for free.”
Dan Alldis, Innovation Lead at Pixel Artworks
“London is often revered as the UK’s creative capital, but not enough people have the opportunity to experience world-class art for free. This experience aims to change that. Everyone is welcome to indulge their creativity at the first interactive and fully immersive installation at Outernet London.”
Alexandra Payne, Outernet London
