mammasONica - Lamina³ Original

A unique immersive creation. Through advanced visualisation techniques, LAMINA³ envisions our biological memory as a multi-sensory experience for viewers.

LAMINA³ is an ever-evolving monumental installation that explores the relationship between technology and human emotions, depicting the biological and chemical changes that occur during emotional experiences. Up close, intricate patterns of emotional cells emerge, characterised by vibrant hues, flowing pulses, and organic materiality, creating a mesmerising and simultaneously soothing atmosphere.

Representing the complexity and unpredictability of human emotions, the system pulsates, changes color, and transforms abstract patterns into emotional cells, portraying the fluctuations and nuances of our inner selves.

This artwork is designed as a research project drawing from interdisciplinary fields such as neuroscience, psychology, sociology, philosophy, digital art, and technology. It aims to create a unique and immersive experience that reflects the intricate and hidden patterns of our emotional landscape.

Emotions are classified, analysed, and cataloged within a designed framework that visually dramatises physiological and emotional responses. From encoding to storage and retrieval, this installation highlights the role technology plays in shaping and reflecting our emotional experiences.
