Heavenly Forms: Neptune Uranus Original

A study in the sacred geometry observable in the movement of the planets in our solar system. The following simulation display the relative positioning of planet pairs (Neptune & Uranus) as they orbit the sun. The outer and inner circles are the simplified orbits of the two planets. Moving clockwise, every 6% of a year, on the outer planet, a line is drawn from the outer orbit to the inner orbit representing the distance between two planets at that moment in time.

The simulation result is used to laser engrave acrylic which is placed inside a CNC'ed frame containing LEDs which illuminate the design.
