Event Horizon Original

Collaboration with Young-min Choi

Inspired by the phenomena that takes place near the event horizon of a black hole, Event Horizon uses a sheet of lenticular lens to bend and distort light emitting from led matrix panels. Eight disparate circles move around the center of the event horizon, each following their own set of rules. When the circles come into close proximity or collide with one another they warp each other’s color space.

Event Horizon was on display at the Telfair Museum in Savannah Georgia for 8 months in 2022.
