明日剧场-虚拟线上交互展演平台 Original

Theatre of Tomorrow(TOT) combines motion capture with game engine to create a digital immersive theatre, providing a platform for the creation and performance of virtual versions of theatre, dance, acrobatics and other performing arts.
The original intention of the project was to use technology to provide a new platform for performing artists and to overcome, to a certain extent, the negative impact of the epidemic on performances. During some recent academic exchanges I attended, I found that many artists and companies abroad have already started exploring and experimenting with similar online performance platforms, the need and urgency of the "Theatre of Tomorrow" project as a platform for online performances in China is even more evident.
In addition to providing a digital platform for performing artists to present their work, Theatre of Tomorrow also functions as a museum. In the initial stage of construction, we have collected and placed the digital dances of the intangible cultural dance inheritor, and in the future we plan to add more intangible cultural performances so that the audience can travel through the cloud with the help of cellphones, computers, VR glasses and other devices, and participate in them through motion capture and other interactive devices, contributing to the preservation and dissemination of China's excellent traditional culture. Through this platform, creators will be able to preserve their creations in the virtual space as digital assets forever and facilitate post-production artistic processing, and audience users will be able to experience an immersive experience through the virtual space. This will inspire Chinese artists to climb the artistic ladder in creative transformation and innovative development.
