Seek the password of China's rapid economic growth and reveal the essence of China's experience. The study of power plants is also an exploration of China's social development. Chongqing Power Plant is "local" and a memory for me. My parents and grandparents were workers in the power plant. I grew up in the power plant family area. Such a small place was the world when I was young. In 2020, the power plant will become an industrial ruin, and workers will lose their jobs and their residences at the same time. In a moment, the peninsula will become an empty city. The ruins show the immortal traces of history and the eternal glory, and also highlight the current perishability and the flash in the pan of all earthly glory. "Rhapsody on Earth" is a retrospective and recollection of my childhood experience growing up in the power plant, and also a "memorial ceremony" for my father's generation of workers leaving the power plant. They are an elegy of the industrial era... This is an experimental animation with the power plant as the background and a theatrical performance with the plant's building ruins as the stage. I will create in the form of interactive experimental animation and public theater, In this work, power plant workers and animated characters become actors. This is a meeting of collective experience and personal experience, an exploration of the unknown and a tragic carnival. Art keeps people from exile, and music plays in the ruins.

Ruins are the original appearance of the world, which reflects the will of time and nature. I will set up a stage on this piece of industrial ruins to let workers leave their last warmth here. What is left behind is not only the buildings, but also the memories of the past. This will be a performance that will spare no effort, an inspiration and an opportunity given by history and reality. The factory will become a public theater, and we will hold a memorial ceremony on this piece of industrial ruins.

Rhapsody on Earth is divided into three parts: behavioral image, experimental animation and light box device. The image part is a behavioral dialogue between my mother and me in the ruins of the factory, a silent communication and emotional expression of body images. The chorus is the expression of collective experience of workers returning to the factory again. In the animation part, real people are used to take the power plant as the background and combine with the animation to create a fantastic world of workers. In the installation part, light box and image are combined to create a space theater. Emotional resonance interweaves personal feelings and historical ruins invisibly.
