The work explores the means and meanings of communication and connection in today's world. The nostalgic Chinese letterboxes commonly found in old Hong Kong buildings serves as the metaphor as the receiver or as the human desire to receive love, connection and good fortune. This is further conveyed through the similarity of the letterbox design to a money box and the symbol of a pair of coins on the surface along with a heart shaped lock. Nowadays, there are less letters sent around yet an overwhelming amount of online messages and emails. Are we better connected than before then? Do you keep in touch when you say keep in touch?
