Industry and art have entered a new era with the revolutionary appearance of 3D printers. This amazing technology lets us print out everything we need at any time, and it guides us to the magic world just by the existence of it.
Imagine, plan, print.
In 2017, Binder-A had presented the first series of media performance SALTATION, combined with laser and projection technology. The laser beam, video, and music are synchronized as a form that expands to a new time and space. Evolving from a flat image, the laser beam traverses above the audience's head and amplifies three-dimensional synesthesia as a 3D printer printing our imaginary world to reality. The laser beam becomes a brush as the image projected through the projector becomes a painting. Along with the music, it gives the audience experience a sense of the reality of presenting in an artist's large canvas.
Through SALTATION PART 3, Landscape, we wanted to visualize a wider world with a new spectrum light that could not be realized with a 3D printer. Using two projectors and eight lasers, we visualize the process of "output” of the “Landscape” includes mountains, sea, lakes, and night views of the city. Together with music, we empathize artistic aspects rather than its technology.
