The design is inspired by the elegant collection of ancient literati, the allusion of “flowing water, curving water, cultivating bamboo in the forest”.

"Lanting is a place of high peaks, lush forests and tall bamboos. There is also a clear and swift stream, shining around the pavilion, we channelled the stream as a stream of water and sat beside the water." -- Preface to Lanting collection

In the ancient times, the literati gathered in this beautiful scenery to write poems, and the good times passed quietly in the goblets and drinking poems.

We like the mood of this poem and incorporate the lush forest and bamboo into our design to recreate the ancient culture of the literati through modern design and materials.

Through the modern design and materials, traditional elements are recreated to reflect the cultural features of ancient literati.

The exterior design is inspired by the scroll paper, and the ground adopts Japanese-style dry mountain water streamline modeling elements.The bamboo forest is in connection with the outers structure, melting in shapes and elements.

The concept of flowing water runs through the entire space, embodying “the goodness is like water”.

The circular element is a metaphor for the “round and harmonious state” of Buddhism.

“流觞曲水“项目的设计灵感就来源于古代文人王羲之的雅集—“兰亭集序”。

"此地有崇山峻岭，茂林修竹，又有清流激湍，映带左右，引以为流觞曲水，列坐其次" 。

崇山峻岭，茂林修竹，溪中清流激湍，潺潺流水声让人心旷神怡。古代文人在此美景间聚会作诗，美好时光不知不觉就在曲水流觞和饮酒作诗中悄然流逝。

我们很喜欢这首诗呈现的意境，将茂林修竹，映带左右融入到我们的设计中，通过现代设计和材料，重现古代文人的山水悠远的文化。

流水外观设计的灵感来自于卷轴纸，地面采用日式干山水的流线造型元素。竹林与外墙结构相连，融于造型和元素之中。

流水的概念贯穿整个空间，体现了 "上善若水"。

圆形轮廓隐喻了佛教的 “圆融之境”。
