This video is an introduction to a work conceived on the theme of "Dreamland".
The title "Through the Senses" is taken from Descartes in "Meditations", "Everything I now believe to be true is either from the senses or through the senses. But I always It is wise to discover that a feeling will deceive me, and that even if it deceived me only once, I no longer believe it.” (AT VII 18; CSM II 12)
Sight, hearing, taste, smell and touch are our five senses, but how do the senses deceive us? It's like a dream. In a dream, we know that we don't feel anything, and even the most basic vision of "seeing a dream" is controlled by our brain. So, is reality a dream, or is a dream reality? This often gives me a feeling of "I don't know if Zhou's dream is Hu Dieyu? Hu Die's dream is Zhou Yu?".
In addition, many times we are pacing between dreams and real life, "if this is a dream," "you dream," "the dream just now is so scary, but fortunately it is a dream."
By feeling, perceiving dreams, perceiving reality.
The work is a self-made obscure box. The inside of the box is covered with fragments of mirrors. You can observe the appearance of the inside of the box through a square hole. , familiarity, fragmentation, and the colorful streamer that is hard to see in real life, all bring a different visual experience to the audience, burying one's head in it seems to have reached another space, or a dream. I had a dream, I had a dream, and I plunged headlong into this dream. I just fell into the tree hole. Those splendid brilliance and shrunken mushrooms, I ate the giant's medicine. The fragments of the mirror reflect thousands of me, living in "dream" and "reality", and wandering between the two.
