Compressed Nebulae Original

What are the limits between art and science? Do they meet? Where and how do they meed if they do? I think they converge, sometimes, when they shape the way we are able to imagine the world around us. From one standpoint, the scientific community builds it's credibility and influence mainly by visually appealing to it's members and to the public in general. I think as well, that they meed in regard to light. They are both informed by light and try to comprehend light. It´s the main material of everything from one diciplin to the other. So, the work I present is a PDF file. It emulates the structure and content of a scientific paper as those published in top scientific magazines such as Nature. I like to think about this work as a science fiction movie that took the shape of an academic paper, exported in a PDF format. Here I make up a scientific technique to compress time- space and culture celestial objects that emit light (and where stars such as our sun are born, such as planetary nebula) inside little receptacles. I complemented the file with 3D models and animations of nebulae I made on my computer. They make the paper believable, but not to the point where you lose a sense of fantasy. One last thought is that in the end, this objects -as a 3d models and fantastic nebulae- are comunicating with us through light. *For this instance I share with you the videos I made of the models.
