"Biology Habitat" refers to the specific geographical environment in which an individual organism, population or community is located. "Biology Habitat" contains the conditions necessary for the survival of living things and other ecological factors. In a common habitat, everything is a mixture of subject and object, interrelated and mutually conditioned.
As one of the historical minority groups in southwest China, the Dong people have their own unique ethnic culture. They respect and appreciate nature, and believe that all things have yin and yang, and are spiritual and inviolable. The Dong people like to sing, and put their culture and production in song and pass them on orally. The Dong nature worship concept is reflected in the creation myth in the ancient Dong song "Ga Mang Mang Dao Shi Jia", including "Song of Human Origin" and "Where did the Dong ancestors come from? etc. The Dong people believe that in order to survive in this world, human beings need life-sustaining materials. Other creatures, including those that come with human beings, have their own specific ecological and cultural positions in the big "habitat" of the world, and everything has its own position and function, and the existence of various creatures is reasonable. This "Biology Habitat" reflects not only the food chain of people in the creatures, but also the cultural chain of people in the creatures, which forms the classification and utilization pattern of Dong culture for resources.
The work is divided into two parts, the interactive image area and the spatial display area. The interactive image area uses the water mist of the Dong nature concept "fog produces everything" as the projection carrier, and combines it with the imagery of the Dong culture's nature worship concept. The cloth hung in the space display area is the most famous "bright cloth" of the Dong people, and the projected text light is an excerpt from the creation myth in the ancient song of the Dong people "Ga Mang Mang Dao Shi Jia". The combination shows the essence of the cosmology of the first Dong people.
