Kondo Tetsu Media Design Lab started in 2007 and has been adhering to the consistent concept of media design education for 14 years. Up to now, more than 100 graduate students have been enrolled and they are active in all walks of life. There are also international students from South Korea and China. The laboratory was founded by Tetsu Kondo, a former visiting researcher of the Interactive Telecommunications Project of the Tisch School of Art at New York University, in the Department of Media Art Expression, the predecessor of the Tokyo Institute of Art’s Interactive Media Department at Polytechnic University. Tetsu Kondo also participated in the student guidance of Nagoya University, Nagoya University of the Arts, Tokyo University of Art and Design, and Musashino Art University with the same philosophy.
