Intro: Alessandro Lupi, born in Genoa in 1975, lives and works in Berlin. He studied at the Accademia Ligustica di Belle Arti in Genoa. During these years his artistic research already appeared to focus on the use of light as a tool to act on perception and stimulate new cognitive processes. In 1997 he began the series of works "Fluorescent Densities", sculptures made by placing side by side countless threads painted with fluorescent pigments. Over the years Lupi has then developed several research strands favoring site-specific interventions, kinetic and interactive works, hosted by prestigious international public institutions. Each work is created by Lupi starting from an idea or invention that acts on the spectator stimulating the imagination and allowing a different way of perceiving and configuring reality. The venues that host Lupi's installations are museums, urban spaces or natural environments within which the works create areas of contemplation that are closely related to the context.
